The 2015 “7” is comprised of 100% Willcox Bench fruit. Our estate Syrah forms the base at 70% of the blend with 30% Rhumb Line Tempranillo clone 1 (Tinta Roriz). Vinified separately, the fruit was destemmed and crushed with an average of 27 days on the skins. Aged in 20% new Rousseau French oak for 20 months. Bottled unfined and unfiltered. 14.5% abv.
The perfect marriage: wine and salt. We teamed up with Desert Provisions in Tucson, Arizona to create an exclusive red wine infused finishing salt made with our 2015 '7' Syrah/Tempranillo. Just like its deep purple color, this salt has a depth of flavor perfect for duck, roasted lamb, grilled steak, roasted mushrooms, or even a chocolate dessert. And so delicious sprinkled on fresh from the garden tomatoes.
Included in this bundle is a clay salt cellar from Tucson artisan Stoneware Wolf. A beautiful addition to your table. Available in white or black finish.
Notes of red and black fruit, tobacco and meat. Medium to full bodied with excellent concentration and roundness in tannins, lingering finish.
