2010 Rosé
This beautiful, richly hued dry Rosé was inspired by Rob and Sarah’s time spent living in Provence where much time was spent sipping rosé at outdoor cafés while savoring the fresh provençal cuisine. The sole purpose of this wine is to bring joy. Its vibrant and refreshing nature makes it easy to quaff on a hot summer day, yet has the depth and texture to pair with your favorite presunto de porco preto. Enticing aromas of blood orange, pomegranate, quince paste, watermelon, and rose water whet the appetite. Juicy acidity, strawberries and cream, and grapefruit abound on the palate.
Made with an Italian twist, Nebbiolo grapes were picked on September 2, 2010 at 23.2 brix. The grapes were whole cluster crushed and cold soaked on the skins for 24 hours. The must was then manual basket pressed and cool fermented in 5th year French oak barriques. The Nebbiolo portion was blended with Sangiovese/Syrah co-ferment saignée and barrel aged on lees for 6 months. The final blend includes a 20% stainless steel aged component. No malolactic fermentation was carried out.
65% Nebbiolo
31% Sangiovese
4% Syrah
60 cases, 14.1% alcohol

2010 Malvasia Bianca
Our Malvasia Bianca vines love their home in Southern Arizona’s high desert and are well on their way to becoming one of Arizona’s best white varieties. Originating in Greece, Malvasia is now grown throughout the Mediterranean including Italy, Sicily, Spain, and Portugal. Our Arizona grown Malvasia has the exotic spice and floral perfume of a top Alsatian white combined with a vibrant and minerally texture. The nose dances with aromas of jasmine tea, citrus blossom, fresh ginger, clove spice, and sweet herbs. The palate expresses a duality – crisp and graceful, yet full and powerful. This wine screams for pan-seared scallops and would pair beautifully with Asian cuisine such as Pad Thai.
The Malvasia grapes were picked August 31, 2010 at 23.1 brix. They were whole cluster crushed and skin soaked for 8 hours before being basket pressed and cool fermented in 4th year French oak barriques. 50% of the wine was barrel aged on lees for 6 months and went through malolactic fermentation. The final blend contains a 50% stainless steel aged component.
